On October 23, 2026, the brothers of the Berlin International community; André KIBETI SAI, Dionisius CARITAS RIBU WATUN, and Harris Wulfstan SOERIANTO, withouth Ludger WIDMAIER, held a Zoom meeting with the superiors regarding the project. The participants were Father General, Alberto Manuel TOUTIN CATALDO who is currently in Mexico for a canonical visit; Superior of Africa, Alain MAKANDA EMVUL; Superior of Indonesia, Pankrasius OLAK KRAENG; and the Superior of Delegation of Deutschland, Martin KÖNIGSTEIN HEUN. Normally, such meetings involve only the superiors, but this time with the brothers of the community also participated. First, the three brothers shared their experiences; learning the language, adjusting to the culture in Berlin, and as team, ministering different communities, Germany speaking, France and Indonesian Speaking. All three are doing well and remain committed to the mission. Fr. Martin KÖNIGSTEIN HEUN then explained the present situation of the community in Werne and Berlin International community. After receiving this information, we took our time to comment the present situation, especially the support provided by the two provincials who sent the members to this community, and to discuss the future of the this international community. The Superior general emphasized that this is an international project of the Congregation, through which the community gives new life to our presence and mission in Europe, especially in Germany. We thank the four brothers who have given their life and committted themselves to the mission. We also hope to continue holding meetings and sharing between brothers in the Berlin International community and the superiors concerned, including Superior General, in order to foster this mission.
