August 7, 2026, in the midst of the rain… from Paroki Ang Muling Pagkabuhay ng Ating Panginoon, Bagong Silang, we once again walked toward PKG 5, passing through narrow alleys made wet and muddy by the rain. These simple steps seemed to invite us into a deeper silence: perhaps in every encounter, it is not only we who come to those who are sick, but Christ Himself who is waiting to encounter us through them.
Together with Fr. Agung SS.CC, Sr. Patricia SS.CC, Sr. Ellen SS.CC, Bro. Risno SS.CC, and Bro. Markus SS.CC, we walked together once again—opening our hearts, uniting our willingness, making space for one another, and learning to journey together in one mission. The spirit of our founders, Pierre Coudrin and Henriette Aymer de la Chevalerie, reminds us that love for the Sacred Hearts does not end with prayer and devotion; love must become presence, sacrifice, and self-giving, especially for those who most need consolation.
Pierre Coudrin instilled in us the courage to bring Christ’s love wherever God sends us; Henriette taught through her life the tenderness, fidelity, and love that can be offered even in silence. There, we rediscover the face of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Sacred Heart of Mary: hearts unafraid to draw near to wounds, hearts willing to remain when others have left, hearts that may not speak many words but can say through their presence, “You are not alone.”
The rain may make the journey difficult, but perhaps through those muddy paths, God is gently cleansing our hearts of ego, comfort, and the desire to walk alone. The joy of mission is not found in having an easy journey, but in discovering joy when our hearts can simply say: “Lord, I am willing.”
May every step we take this morning become a living prayer; every encounter, a grace; and every collaboration, a simple way for the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Sacred Heart of Mary to continue being present, consoling, and rekindling hope among God’s people.
